Meet Your Hosts
Meet Barbara and her husband Martijn, owners of Ecocirer – possibly Mallorca’s best sustainable retreat. Champions of sustainable living, this creative couple are nature and food lovers at heart.
“People have a perception that Mallorca is a party, package holiday kind of place. The truth is this stereotype of the island is only from a small part of the island. It has so much more to offer.
When I first came to this UNESCO world heritage area, I thought it was unbelievable. My wife and I are really passionate about introducing guests to the concept of ‘living like a local’. One way in which we do this is by providing, local, fresh healthy food which takes care of people’s wellbeing.”

Need-to-Know
Every breakfast is created through inspired planting, nurturing and homemade cooking. Served in the tranquil courtyard, Ecocirer celebrates vegan and vegetarian dishes only (also accommodating any allergies and special dietary needs).
Bear in mind that the town of Sóller follows a medieval street pattern. The streets are often narrow and sometimes one-way.
The creative flair of the owners is evident throughout this small boutique hotel where you’ll find Ecocirer natural cosmetics, beautifully made cookbooks and herbal teas.
The pool is the perfect size for taking a cool dip on a hot day, but don’t expect to do lengths.
