Enjoy the wonder of nature on a boat ride led by Ornithologist, Fernando, through the wetlands of the Sian Ka’an reserve. Departure from Casa de las Olas at 3pm and venture to bird island just before the sun sets.
The tour begins at the beautiful Muyil lagoon, kayaking among the mangrove trees and spotting the migratory birds. Enjoy a magical sunset and watch the birds fly in to roost for the night.
Explore Muyil and dive into the culture of the Ancient Mayans. After, explore the wetlands by boat, stopping to take a magical float down a freshwater canal.

Meet James, the owner of Olas Tulum and his partner Abby. Originally from New York, they soon fell in love with Tulum.
James loves snowboarding and biking, he is especially passionate about food and the concept of living simply.

Olas Tulum is located at the entrance to the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve, a 1.3 million-acre World Heritage Site. Home to manatees, dolphins, sea turtles, big cats etc. a personalised tour here is unmissable
All meals are at the communal table, where there is always great food and engaged conversation. Don’t expect a typical formal restaurant

Olas Tulum sits on the coast in the town of Tulum, on the East coast of Mexico. This boutique B&B is situated at the very end of Tulum beach, 10km from the town of Tulum.
How to Get There
The closest airport is Cancun (127km), which has direct flights from the US, the UK and elsewhere. Alternatively, change at a US airport or fly via Mexico City.
