    • Born with an incurable eye condition, Amar had lost 95% of his sight by his late teens. Despite the odds, he went on to build a successful career eventually setting up Traveleyes, an award-winning tour operator that connects blind and sighted travellers through shared experiences around the world, which awarded him an OBE. He was the first-ever blind contestant on BBC’s Celebrity MasterChef, has featured in travel documentaries such as BBC’s Beyond Boundaries.

  • Lisbeth Mejía
    • Lisbeth Mejía is a sensory tour guide for Quinti, a social enterprise and tour operator in Ecuador. Born blind due to complications at birth, Lisbeth has turned challenge into purpose- using her story, skills, and empathy to lead immersive travel experiences that invite people to see beyond sight.

  • Lucy Edwards
    • Lucy Edwards is a blind broadcaster, journalist, author, and disability activist. After losing her sight at 17, she set out to share her story and empower others. With 1.8M followers on TikTok and 804K YouTube subscribers, Lucy has become a leading voice for disability inclusion. She was the first blind presenter on BBC Radio 1 and has reported across BBC TV, including her documentary How Does a Blind Girl Go on Safari? filmed in Kenya.

  • Ewan Cluckie, Tripseed
    • Ewan leads Tripseed’s (a DMC) strategic impact direction and signature initiatives. Driven by a passion for eliminating industry inequalities, he’s dedicated to developing innovative, inclusive travel products. Ewan shares a real-world example in this session with the help of Khun Annie, a blind musician who Tripseed have co-created a cultural tour with.

    • Lis, from Ecuador, is a passionate leader in rural development, social entrepreneurship, and regenerative tourism. Inspired by her grandparents’ legacy of community care, she sees tourism as a catalyst for social transformation. As the founder of Quinti—Ecuador’s first company to train and employ blind guides—Lis is pioneering inclusive, sensory-based travel experiences that build empathy and drive meaningful change.
